Kindergarten Announcements
ELA
We spent another week learning to find the main idea
and details in our books about trains. We explored the
various train car types and the different jobs found on
a train. We practiced blending and segmenting sounds
in words with short and long /e/ sounds to form words .
Math
Students counted groups of up to 20 images arranged in
lines, arrays, circles, and on 10-frames. Students use
methods of keeping track of images especially when
counting images in circles. Students also practiced
writing numbers 11–20 to represent quantities.
P2: Social Intelligence
Social intelligence helps individuals build relationships.
It allows an individual to form friendships and alliances.
People with social intelligence can “read” other people’s
faces and know what motivates them.
Science: Plant Needs: Water and Light
We learned what a plant needs to grow. We watched
real seeds germinate and grow and learned how we can
help nurture them.
Rainbow Words
Please keep practicing these important words at home every night.
Centers:
We made shamrocks, used t0s and 1s to make teen numbers,
played a math game on ipads, made words with pattern blocks,
and had fun with playdough.

Parking:
Please remember NOT to park on the left side of the road
