Kindergarten Announcements
ELA
We practiced conversation skills this week by talking and listening with
partners and then repeating what our partner said.We also practiced recognizing rhymes and listening for syllables in words.
Our poems for the week include “Flying Flamingo” to emphasize the /f/
sound and “Digging Dog” to emphasize the letter Dd. High Frequency
words for this week were is and of.
Math
We counted and compared groups of images up to 10 and used the
words more, fewer and the same asto describe the comparisons. We played Bingo and practiced matching
groups that have the same number of items but look different. One
student chose a card with a group of images and all students placed a counter
on their gameboard over a group that had the same number of images.
P2: Bravery
Being brave means being strong even when you are scared. You can be brave
every day by finding courage to try new things like riding a bike.
Centers:
In centers we made candy corn people, listened & wrote the missing sound in fall-themed words, cut and glued
the seasons in the correct order, and strung letter beads onto pipe cleaners to
make fall words.
