Kindergarten Announcements
ELA
We learned a lot about the word “collaboration” this week. We experienced what collaboration looks and sounds like while playing with each other.. And most importantly we discovered that collaboration can make playing together more fun. We read a new book called “Llama Llama Time to Share” which will help us understand more about how to collaborate by sharing and trading toys.
High Frequency words for this week were no, go, so and we focused on the letters Oo and Ll.
Math
We played math games that included counting different groups and matching the groups of items to both written and spoken numbers. Students matched one group of images with a number as they practice counting and keeping track of images in a circle
P2: Know That Your Words and Actions Affect Others
I know that what I say and do can help or hurt someone. When I see a classmate working hard on something, I tell them, “You’re doing a great job!”. My kind words can help encourage them to keep going and make our friendship stronger too!
Science
This week we have been making observations about how sunshine heats things up! And we’ve noticed that things stay cooler if they are in the shade!
