Kindergarten Announcements
Thank you!…to the Halloween party committee! You did such a great job creating a very fun day for us all! The kids will remember it forever.
ELA
We started a new Module called Weather Wonders. In this module, students will build their literacy and science skills as they engage in a study of the weather. We started this week by learning the four components of weather which are:
Temperature
Air Pressure
Moisture
Wind
In phonics, we reviewed the letters we’ve learned and added two high frequency words into and said
Math
Students compared numbers in any way that makes sense to them. They compared by
using the count sequence to compare which number came first.,
by creating groups of objects and matching them.
and by beginning to automatically know which numbers are less or more than a given number
P2: Enthusiasm
Enthusiasm gives positive energy to you and the people around you! When you cheer on your teammates at a sports game, you’re giving them energy to keep playing at their best!
Science: None
Centers:
We played a math number game, enjoyed color-by-number Halloween pictures, and practiced cutting and gluing letters into fall words.
Sight Words:

Parent/Teacher conferences:
Kindergarten conferences will be held in October & early November. Here is the link to sign up for the Crawford Conferences. Please remember that your child should attend the conference with you. Our first set of conferences are child-led. I look forward to talking with you all.
